Activities:	Service teams of ABB were trained on-site by PROCENTEC in the disciplines of fault finding for PROFIBUS systems in which their products are installed. ABB has an extensive product range that requires skilled people to service it. Experts from PROCENTEC gave each group a 2 days practical instruction how to use the analyzer and oscilloscope to detect and eliminate disturbances.

Edison
Country:	Italy
Activities:	PROCENTEC has audited a power plant for the energy company Edison. In a couple of days 8 PROFIBUS networks had to be inspected by means of measurements and visual inspection. The networks consists out of fibre optic, repeaters, DP/PA links and of course drives, remote I/O and instrumentation. A group of maintenance technicians was also trained on-site.

Philips DAP

Activities:	Conducting a series of on-site Certified Installer courses to train a relatively large group of technicians (48 persons). Philips DAP produces domestic equipment like; shavers and all their assembling machines are based on PROFIBUS DP. The technicians are responsible for keeping these machines up and running and to upgrade or change them. Knowledge and experience in PROFIBUS cabling, testing and validation where the main keywords for selecting the proper training.

Soporcel

Activities:	A group of engineers and their integrators: Eurocon (SE), Jaakko Poyry (FIN) and Andritz (FIN) were trained by PROCENTEC. The engineers will be responsible for automating a couple of mills in which hundreds of DP and PA instruments will be installed. Asset management and total cost of ownership are the key factors for using PROFIBUS in these joint European projects.
