KCI KONECRANES in Finland |
 |
 A
service team of KCI KONECRANES was trained on-site by PROCENTEC
in the disciplines of fault finding for the bus systems in
their harbour cranes.
The control of the cranes has been
completely automated with PROFIBUS DP and is based on electrical
drive technology. In 3 days they had a very practical instruction
how to use the analyzer and oscilloscope to detect and eliminate
disturbances. The training was closed with a field trip to
try out their skills on a real installation.

PA Engineers |
|
 These
3 gentlemen are the first Certified PA Engineers in the Netherlands.
They successfully passed the exam
of the module which is fully concentrated on PROFIBUS PA and
is only accessible for people who have passed the regular Certified
Engineer class.

 After
the great success of our PROFIBUS Analyzer, we are proud to
release 'ProfiCaptain', the PC based DP master and controller
platform for PROFIBUS networks.

for applications like: I/O tests, installation commissioning,

 Every
student passed the International Certified PROFIBUS Engineer
session which was organized in the Netherlands on 22 to 25
February 2005.
People from Japan, Denmark, Finland,
Portugal and the Netherlands participated. Mr. Motoyoshi from
Japan managed to get a 100 % score on the theory exam. Congratulations!

| Water Day |
|
 On
the 2nd of June 2005 the 'Water Day' was organized by the Regional
PROFIBUS Association of the Netherlands. This event was based
on PROFIBUS applications in the Water handling industry.
Dennis van Booma gave several presentations
about installation design, engineering and commissioning. At
the end he demonstrated the steps to commission an installation
with the available tools.

| UK Conference |
|
 At
the UK conference on 21 June 2005, Dennis van Booma of PROCENTEC
presented the topic fault finding in PROFIBUS installations.
During his presentation he gave an overview about the available
tools and what the fault finding strategy is. He concluded
his presentation with a demonstration of ProfiTrace on
a running network. The listeners could experience how easy
it is to find faults if you have the proper tools
at hand.

Day |

 On
10 November 2005, PROCENTEC participated at the National PROFIBUS
Day.
Dennis van Booma gave a presentation
about engineering + design rules and did a hands-on session
about diagnostic information. On our little booth there was
a constant interest in the popular ProfiTrace Analyzer
for troubleshooting & maintenance activities. |

Checklist |

 We
have a FREE commissioning checklist available for validating
the protocol quality of PROFIBUS DP installations with the
ProfiTrace Analyzer.
This checklist is of vital importance,
because it guarantees the same working steps for people who
are responsible for commissioning and/or troubleshooting. It
can also be used as a fill-in report which can be signed by
the responsible person.

Engineers in Norway |
|
 The
first Norwegian Certified PROFIBUS Engineer training session
ended successfully.
All Norwegian participants passed
the exam and are now ready to operate in the Scandinavian region.
For 3 snowy days the participants were trained by the experts
of PROCENTEC in all aspects of PROFIBUS technology and the
available troubleshooting + engineering tools. All certified
engineers are now listed on our website.

On
9 to 11 March 2005, PROCENTEC participated on the exhibition 'Electronics & Automation' in
Utrecht (NL) to promote the PROFIBUS technology and the ProfiTrace
Analyzer. 
We
have conducted a couple of training sessions for NedCar (Born,
Netherlands) to upgrade the skills of 20+ technicians in PROFIBUS
validation. 
The
certification tool ProfiScript now works on the ProfiCore hardware
(USB to PROFIBUS interface)! With this new hardware a very
low cost test and verification environment has been created
to support your PROFIBUS product development.
ProfiScipt
is a professional tool that automatically tests and verifies
the complete protocol functionality of PROFIBUS DP, DP-V1 and
PA devices. It has enormous flexibility and is very easy to
use. This tool will save you time and money during your development
and certification phase! The results you get will certainly
reflect in the testlabs. A FREE trial version of ProfiScript
is available with limited capability.
During
the PROFIsafe workshop, which was organized by the Germany
PROFIBUS Organization on 24 February 2005 in Karlsruhe, Dennis
van Booma gave a presentation about network validation for
safety installations. 
We
have a special cable available to connect ProfiTrace to a DP
network. 
The
Endress+Hauser group has selected the ProfiTrace Analyzer as
the standard tool for PROFIBUS commissioning, validation and
troubleshooting activities. All service technicians worldwide
have the possibility to be equipped with this powerful tool.
