ProfiTrace 2 has been launched !

ProfiTrace 2 - The new PROFIBUS Combi-Analyzer from PROCENTEC

We are proud to release ProfiTrace 2, the most powerful combi-analyzer for PROFIBUS.

ProfiTrace 2 is the latest generation in the line of busmonitor technology. It combines ALL primary tools in one: Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Bar graph, DP-V0/V1 Master and Reporting. Technicians can check and troubleshoot the complete PROFIBUS network with 1 software package and 1 piece of hardware. This is an enormous reduction in equipment, weight, costs and required knowledge.

Troubleshooting training in Austria

PROCENTEC organized the first Troubleshooting course in Vienna, Austria.

For 2 days the participants were trained in solving PROFIBUS installation problems. They used the latest tool; ProfiTrace 2.

ProfiTrace demo days in Germany

Dennis van Booma was the host at the German ProfiTrace days

We have organized ProfiTrace demo days in a couple of cities in Germany.

The audience witnessed the innovative power of ProfiTrace 2. At the end of the day the participants had the chance to try the tool themselves.

Certified PROFINET Engineers in the UK

In May, the first Certified PROFINET Engineer training course in the UK took place in Manchester. This session was organized by MMU and PROCENTEC. 9 participants passed the exam.

In 3-days the participants were trained in the disciplines required for PROFINET (engineering, component selection, Ethernet basics, installation, testing and troubleshooting).

The most interesting practical assignment was to hook up all the available devices to one large installation. The participants had to design/program the network. At the end they successfully managed to create a large installation with 2 controllers and a lot devices from different manufacturers. Also some PROFIBUS segments were appended through proxies.

Certified Engineers in Singapore

Dennis van Booma trained 12 engineers in Singapore.

12 Engineers from Singapore and surrounding countries were trained by PROCENTEC and passed the Certified Engineer exam with PA extension.

In one week they were trained in the disciplines required for DP and PA, like: engineering, troubleshooting and validation. The engineers are responsible for PROFIBUS projects in South-East Asia.

Successful Expert Days in China

Dennis van Booma gave presentations about PROFIBUS troubleshooting and PROFIBUS/PROFINET Engineering

The first "Chinese PROFIBUS and PROFINET Experts Days 2008" have successfully been completed. This event took place in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an.

The goals were to promote PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology in China and generate business opportunities between the participating companies and the audience. Dennis van Booma gave a presentation about PROFIBUS Troubleshooting and performed a live PROFIBUS/PROFINET demo.

Certified PROFINET course for Siemens UK

Siemens UK was trained by Dennis van Booma

For Siemens UK a special Certified PROFINET Engineer training course
was organized. 8 participants passed the exam.

More and more Certified Engineers

A batch of Engineers was trained at our headquarters and passed the Certified Engineer exam.

In one week, top experts Dennis van Booma and Elmer Vis, trained the engineers in the disciplines: engineering, troubleshooting and validation.

Exhibition Industry & ICT

We participated on the exhibition ‘Industry & ICT’ to promote ProfiTrace and ProfiHub.

There was a demonstrator on the booth in which DP and PA equipment was working together. ProfiTrace supervised the entire installation and logged the signal quality with the build-in oscilloscope.

Certified PROFINET at Siemens Netherlands

Dennis van Booma was the examiner at the PROFINET training.

All participants passed the exam after a heavy 3-day training course.

Very successful SPS

PROCENTEC participated on the SPS in Nuremberg and promoted ProfiTrace.

Tim Karnau demonstrated the powerful features of ProfiTrace. He explained that this tool is one of the reasons that PROFIBUS is easy technology.

Troubleshooting training for RWE Germany

Dennis van Booma takes the participants into thec field for measurements.

RWE invited PROCENTEC to provide on-site troubleshooting and maintenance training.

For 2 days the participants were trained in solving disturbances in PROFIBUS installations. They were the first to use the new PA Probe Ultra.

New office in Germany

PROCENTEC GmbH officially started its activities to serve the German industry.

The company is based in Karlsruhe and Mr. Tim Karnau has been appointed as General Manager. He has to provide the end-users the same products and services with the enthusiasm PROCENTEC is famous for. The company will play an important role in the standardization of ProfiTrace, the worldwide recognized PROFIBUS troubleshooting and commissioning tool.

Exhibition: HET Instrument

We participated on the exhibition 'HET Instrument' to promote the PROFIBUS technology and ProfiTrace.

Troubleshooting training in Atlanta

Dennis van Booma explaines the participants how to interpret PROFIBUS signals.

In July we have organized a PROFIBUS Troubleshooting and Maintenance training course in Atlanta, USA.

For 2 days 17 participants were trained in solving problems in PROFIBUS installations. They used the latest tools like; ProfiTrace.

Installation audit in Brazil

We have audited the Veracel pulp and paper plant in Porto Seguro.

PROFIBUS expert Mr. Elmer Vis concluded that the main issues in this installation were spur lines. The ProfiTrace Analyzer was used for the field measurements.

Topology Scan in ProfiTrace

ProfiTrace can generate the topology of the PROFIBUS network without shutting down the installation!

The Topology Scan is a new feature of ProfiTrace 2. It generates a clear network drawing that contains the location of the devices and length of the cable that links them.

Certified Engineers in Australia

Elmer Vis is explaining ProfiTrace during the hands-on sessions.

12 Engineers were trained by PROCENTEC in Newcastle, Australia and passed the Certified Engineer exam.

In one week, top experts Fedor Meyer and Elmer Vis, trained the engineers in the disciplines required for DP and PA, like: engineering, troubleshooting and validation.

ISO 9001 Certification Extended

Dennis van Booma receives the ISO 9001 certificate as a PROFIBUS and PROFINET service provider.

PROCENTEC has been recertified for ISO 9001.

All units business complied with this Quality System and all primary processes are described (training, troubleshooting, engineering, commissioning and the test laboratory). This certification makes PROCENTEC accessible for governmental companies, army and large enterprises which demand ISO certification from all their suppliers.

Distributor Meeting that rocked the house

More than 40 people from all over the world joined the Distributor Meeting that was organized at the HQ in the Netherlands. A large part of the participants where staff members from Competence Centers.

Dennis van Booma reported on the great acceptance of ProfiTrace. For a lot of organizations it is the de-facto tool for PROFIBUS troubleshooting and analysis. Also, it is the only tool that has worldwide support from PROFIBUS Competence Centers and Training Centers. The experts rely on this product and they recommend it as the primary tool.

Troubleshooting training in China

The participants are using ProfiTrace to inspect the PROFIBUS signals.

On the 16th of June, CAMETA and PROCENTEC have organized another PROFIBUS Troubleshooting and Maintenance course in Beijing.

For 3 days the participants were trained in solving problems in PROFIBUS installations. They used the latest tools like; ProfiTrace 2.

INTEX accredited as PROFINET PICC

Dennis van Booma has audited Intex as PROFINET Competence Center

INTEX has been audited by Dennis van Booma as PI Competence Center for Poland.

After inspecting the knowledge and facilities, Dennis van Booma came to the conclusion that INTEX complies with all requirements to operate as PROFINET Competence Center.

Certified Engineers in Singapore

Dennis van Booma trained engineers in Singapore.

10 Engineers from Singapore, Brazil, Germany, USA, Indonesia and France were trained by PROCENTEC in Singapore and the majority passed the Certified Engineer exam.

In one week they were trained in the disciplines required for DP and PA, like: engineering, troubleshooting and validation. The engineers are responsible for PROFIBUS projects all over the world.
